DOLLY PARTON STRAWBERRY KISS COOKIES
Soft, pink strawberry cookies topped with a chocolate kiss--sweet, simple, and perfect for Valentine's Day.
Ingredients
- 1 box Dolly Parton Strawberry Cake Mix (Or your favorite strawberry cake mix)
- 1 large egg
- 8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 30 Hershey Kisses, unwrapped
- Optional: sanding sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, egg, and melted butter until combined.
- Add the softened cream cheese and mix until smooth.
- Cover and refrigerate dough for 1 hour.
- Scoop dough into 1-tablespoon balls.
- Optional: Roll dough balls in sanding sugar.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and immediately press a Hershey Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- TIP: The cookies will be soft--don't overbake! They set up as they cool.
