Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pretzels
  • 3/4 cup caramel bits
  • Flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt to butter mixture.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips, pretzels, and caramel bits.
  6. Scoop dough into large balls--about 1/4 cup each--and place on the prepared sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden but the centers still look slightly soft.
  8. Immediately sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before transferring to rack.
  10. TIP: For that big, bakery-style Panera look, make the cookies extra large and press a few chocolate chips, pretzel pieces, and caramel bits onto the tops before baking.
