Simple White Sauce
Mama Judy makes a SIMPLE WHITE SAUCE from the Volume 1 cookbook to go with cauliflower florets. Yum!

SIMPLE WHITE SAUCE
A smooth, creamy white sauce made with butter, flour, and milk-perfect for casseroles, veggies and pasta.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
- Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat; stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat.
- Gradually whisk in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; boil and stir 3 -5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and use immediately, or keep warm until serving.
