PATRIOTIC HEAVEN ON EARTH CAKE

This cake is an easy no-bake dessert layered with angel food cake, creamy pudding, whipped topping, strawberries and blueberries for the perfect red, white, and blue treat. Light, fluffy, and refreshing--it's always a hit for Memorial Day and the 4th of July.

Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 can strawberry pie filling
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Cut angel food cake into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Spread half of the cake cubes into the bottom of a 9x13 dish.
  3. Spoon the strawberry pie filling over the cake.
  4. Add the remaining cake cubes on top.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the sour cream, milk and vanilla pudding mix.
  6. Spread pudding mixture evenly over the cake layer.
  7. Top with whipped topping. Garnish with diced strawberries and blueberries.
  8. Refrigerate at least 4 hours (overnight is even better).
