PATRIOTIC HEAVEN ON EARTH CAKE
This cake is an easy no-bake dessert layered with angel food cake, creamy pudding, whipped topping, strawberries and blueberries for the perfect red, white, and blue treat. Light, fluffy, and refreshing--it's always a hit for Memorial Day and the 4th of July.
Ingredients
- 1 angel food cake (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 can strawberry pie filling
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Cut angel food cake into bite-sized cubes.
- Spread half of the cake cubes into the bottom of a 9x13 dish.
- Spoon the strawberry pie filling over the cake.
- Add the remaining cake cubes on top.
- In a bowl, whisk together the sour cream, milk and vanilla pudding mix.
- Spread pudding mixture evenly over the cake layer.
- Top with whipped topping. Garnish with diced strawberries and blueberries.
- Refrigerate at least 4 hours (overnight is even better).
