Ingredients

  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced into rounds
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the cubed potatoes and chopped onion.
  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes, until the potatoes are browned and starting to soften.
  4. Return the kielbasa to the skillet. Add the shredded cabbage, chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cabbage is tender and the potatoes are fully cooked.
  6. Remove the lid and simmer uncovered for a few minutes if you want to reduce the liquid.
  7. Tip: This dish is great with a splash of vinegar or a dollop of sour cream on top!
