SIMPLE STRAWBERRY CRACK SALAD

A sweet and salty dessert salad with juicy strawberries, creamy filling and a crunchy praline-style pretzel topping--completely irresistible!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 (8 oz) tub Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F. Line a baking sheet with sides using parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together pretzels, pecans, brown sugar, and melted butter.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 7-9 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool, stirring occasionally to break into pieces.
  5. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  6. Mix in the vanilla, then fold in the Cool Whip.
  7. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  8. Stir in most of the cooled pretzel mixture, reserving some for topping.
  9. Sprinkle remaining pretzel topping over the salad before serving.
