SIMPLE STRAWBERRY CRACK SALAD
A sweet and salty dessert salad with juicy strawberries, creamy filling and a crunchy praline-style pretzel topping--completely irresistible!
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (8 oz) tub Cool Whip
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 °F. Line a baking sheet with sides using parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix together pretzels, pecans, brown sugar, and melted butter.
- Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 7-9 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool, stirring occasionally to break into pieces.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Mix in the vanilla, then fold in the Cool Whip.
- Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
- Stir in most of the cooled pretzel mixture, reserving some for topping.
- Sprinkle remaining pretzel topping over the salad before serving.
