MOM'S FRIED CABBAGE
A simple comforting side dish full of smoky bacon flavor and tender cabbage--just like Mom makes.
Ingredients
- 1 head (about 2 lbs) cabbage, chopped
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain, reserving a little bacon drippings in the skillet.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage begins to soften. Cover with a lid and continue cooking until tender.
- Stir the crumbled bacon back into the cabbage.
- Serve warm.
