MOM'S EASY CURRIED CHICKEN SALAD
A creamy, flavorful chicken salad with a hint of curry, crunchy apples and celery, and a nutty twist--perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or crackers.
Ingredients
- 1 (12 oz) can chicken breast, drained and flaked
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped apple (any variety)
- 1 cup pecan pieces or sliced almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup to 1 cup mayonnaise (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Slap Ya Mama seasoning, to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken, celery, apple and nuts.
- Sprinkle in the curry powder, then add mayonnaise a little at a time until desired creaminess is reached.
- Season with salt, pepper, and optional Slap Ya Mama seasoning to taste.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
