MOM'S CRISPY OKRA FRIES

Crispy, seasoned okra slices roasted to perfection--bold flavor, no slime, all crunch!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb stringless okra, sliced into thin rounds or strips
  • 1 1/2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp Slap Ya Mama seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Pat the sliced okra thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture- this helps them crisp up.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the okra with the avocado oil, paprika, onion salt, garlic salt, Slap Ya Mama seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the okra in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Don't overcrowd.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy as-is!
