MOM'S CRISPY OKRA FRIES
Crispy, seasoned okra slices roasted to perfection--bold flavor, no slime, all crunch!
Ingredients
- 1 lb stringless okra, sliced into thin rounds or strips
- 1 1/2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp Slap Ya Mama seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Pat the sliced okra thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture- this helps them crisp up.
- In a large bowl, toss the okra with the avocado oil, paprika, onion salt, garlic salt, Slap Ya Mama seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Spread the okra in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Don't overcrowd.
- Bake for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy as-is!
