Mama Sue’s Spaghetti Sauce
Mama Sue's classic spaghetti sauce is a comforting blend of savory meats, tomatoes, and herbs--just like Sunday supper at home. If you aren’t following Mama Sue, you really should. She is the best! Her Volume 2 cookbook can be found on her website, along with hundreds of recipes.
I think this dish would pair nicely with my Fresh Roasted Green Beans or these Roasted Vegetables.

- 2 (14.5 oz) cans diced tomatoes

Instructions
- In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef, sausage, onion, and bell pepper until the meat is fully browned and the vegetables are tender. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Stir in the garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, basil, oregano, salt, pepper, Montreal steak seasoning, and parsley.
- Bring the sauce to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
