Ingredients

  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2-1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut the broccoli into florets.
  2. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the broccoli and boil for 5-7 minutes, just until it turns bright green and is tender-crisp. Do not overcook. You want a little bite left in the broccoli.
  3. Drain the broccoli well.
  4. Place the hot broccoli in a bowl and drizzle with melted butter, and fresh lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and gently toss to coat. Serve warm.
