CHEESEBURGER CASSEROLE

This hearty casserole brings together savory beef, tender noodles, and melted cheddar for a family--friendly dinner that's as easy as it is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 heaping tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles
  • 2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef with onion and green pepper until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain.
  5. Combine the noodles with the beef mixture and spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle cheese over the top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy a comforting, cheesy family favorite!
